Although British losses were tragically higher, it is overlooked that British ships hit their enemies with approximately 104 heavy shells while suffering only 85 hits from such projectiles. It is worth noting that a high proportion of British shells struck S.M.S. Wiesbaden,[1] which skews simple comparisons on number of hits made.
