U.S.S. Lea was one of one hundred and eleven Wickes class destroyers completed for the U.S. Navy.
Service
Lea was commissioned on 2 October, 1918 with Lieutenant Commander Willis A. Lee, Jr. in command.
On 12 May 1935, she collided with Sicard on night exercises outside Pearl Harbour. One man died.
