U.S.S. Stribling was one of one hundred and eleven Wickes class destroyers completed for the U.S. Navy.

Service

Stribling was commissioned at the Boston Navy Yard on 16 August, 1918 with Lieutenant Commander Thomas E. Van Metre in command.
