Lieutenant Hobart William Theodore Rudolph Seymour (7 February, 1887 – 27 April, 1916) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Born in Florence the son of Reverend E. Seymour, Hobart Seymour gained two months' time on passing out of Britannia.

He was awarded the Ryder Memorial Prize for 1906 for placing highest in the examination in French at the Royal Naval College, Greenwich.

Seymour was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 April, 1909.

Seymour was appointed to the battleship Russell on 6 March 1915 and died when she was sunk in April 1916.
