Commander (retired) Valentine Alexander Raleigh, R.N. (24 April, 1891 – 6 April, 1933) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
The son of Walter Raligh, professor of the English language.
Raleigh was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 January, 1914.
Raleigh was appointed in command of the destroyer Manners on 31 May, 1918.[1]
Raleigh was placed on the Retired List at his own request with gratuity on 10 August, 1920. He was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander (retired) on 15 January, 1922.
Raleigh was promoted to the rank of Commander (retired) on 24 April, 1931.
