H.M.S. Skirmisher was one of eight Sentinel class Scout Cruisers completed for the Royal Navy in 1905.
Service
As part of the Channel Fleet, Skirmisher started a refit in Devonport in August 1908, after Battle Practice.[8]

- Commander Edward Reeves, 2 January, 1908.[9]
- Captain Francis Clifton Brown, 21 March, 1914[10] and as Captain (D) Seventh Destroyer Flotilla.
