Admiral Francis Charles Methuen Noel, F.R.G.S., Royal Navy (5 June, 1852 – 30 December, 1925) was an officer of the Royal Navy.
Family Life
Noel and his wife had three children. Mary Penelope (born 10 August, 1887), Francis Methuen (born 28 December, 1888) and Montague Wriothesley (born 12 November, 1892). Mary passed away on 22 March, 1969. Francis, educated at Cheltenham College and employed by the Bank of England, joined the Inns of Court O.T.C. on the outbreak of the First World War and was commissioned into the Devon Regiment. As a Second Lieutenant he was killed leading his men into action on 26 October, 1917. Montague joined the Royal Navy and by the Second World War was a Commander.
