I don't suppose that there's a mention in the ARTS of just who Colonel Chaytor is? Offhand I can't find any Royal Marine Chaytors. —Simon Harley 21:55, 26 February 2011 (UTC)

Though it is spelled the same in ARTS 1909 and 1910, perhaps his name (like Hallet's/Hallett's) may be in error. Any Chaytons? Perhaps he is Army? He is Lt. Col, not Col. Tone 22:34, 26 February 2011 (UTC)

Nothing similar in the Navy Lists for a decent bracket (1891 and 1914). I assume that he is Army, though I haven't found a Royal Artillery or Royal Engineers Chaytor. It's not particularly important, but it's always nice to know who was responsible for these things - in this case, it's interesting if an army officer designed a "Torpedo Danger Area Instrument." —Simon Harley 17:43, 27 February 2011 (UTC)
