Commander (retired) Cameron St. Clair Ingham, (16 June, 1891 – ) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
His Service Record notes that he was the son of a "gentleman", but adds a question mark after this single descriptor.[1]
Ingham served in Invincible from July 1914 through 19 June, 1915. At the end of the war, he was in Hyacinth as first and gunnery officer.[2]
Ingham was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 July, 1918, having been altered from 15 July, 1914.[3]
Ingham was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 January, 1923.[4]
In February 1928 he was relieved of command of the gunboat Moorhen by Commander-in-Chief, China for being under the influence of liquor at an official dinner. He was deemed unsuitable to command a West River gunboat for reasons that reached beyond this offence.[5]
