Lieutenant-Commander Thomas Frederick Taylor, D.S.C. (14 August, 1897 – ) served in the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve before joining the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Born in Greenhithe, Kent, Taylor worked as a machinist. After some time in the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve, he joined the Royal Navy on 30 October 1916 and would serve in the scout cruiser Patrol from February 1917 through his demobilisation on 26 March 1919.[1]

Taylor re-joined the service at some point and was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 December, 1934.

Taylor was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 1 December, 1942.
