Lieutenant-Commander Cecil Edward Wilkins, R.N. (3 October, 1886 – 1 November, 1918) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Wilkins was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 October, 1908.[1]

Appointed to the light cruiser H.M.S. Falmouth on 11 May, 1916 and saw action in her as part of the Third Light Cruiser Squadron at the Battle of Jutland. He survived her loss on 19 August, 1916 and was appointed next to Weymouth, upon her commissioning on 14 September, 1916. He was soon thereafter promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 1 October, 1916.[2]

On 3 March 1918, he was appointed to the light cruiser Lowestoft as Acting Commander. His death to illness was presumably due to influenza.[3]
