Lieutenant William Herbert Grieve, (17 April, 1874 – 4 September, 1908) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Grieve was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 31 December, 1896.[1]

Between October 1904 and 11 November, 1907, Grieve served in Boscawen and Kent as first officer.[2]

Grieve was appointed to Natal as first officer on 28 January, 1908 and was killed after being struck by a hoist of coal while coaling the ship in September.[3]
