Major Evan Jukes Hughes, O.B.E. (? – ?) was an officer of the Royal Marine Light Infantry during the First World War.
Appointed Second Lieutenant dated 1 September, 1904. Promoted Lieutenant dated 1 July, 1905.
He was the Turret Officer in "Y" in H.M.S. Revenge at the Battle of Jutland.
Life & Career
On 17 July, 1919 Jukes Hughes was appointed Officer of the Military Division of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, "For valuable services in H.M. Ships Revenge and Ramillies, First Battle Squadron."
Jukes Hughes was the son of Commander Robert Jukes Hughes, R.N. (d. 1928) and was the brother of Captain E.G. de S. Jukes Hughes.
