Vice-Admiral (retired) Ralph Stuart Wykes-Sneyd, D.S.O., R.N. (25 September, 1882 – 19 December, 1951) was an officer in the Royal Navy. Unitl 1926, his name was Ralph Stuart Sneyd.

Life & Career

Sneyd received six months' time on passing out of Britannia in June 1898. He was appointed to the Magnificent on 1 June and rated Midshipman without examination on 15 July.[1]

Sneyd was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 July, 1903.[2]

In March 1906 he qualified as Lieutenant (T) with 1638 marks.

Sneyd was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 June, 1911.[3]

Sneyd was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1914.[4]
