Commander John Dreyer Shaw-Hamilton, (21 January, 1904 – ) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Shaw-Hamilton won the Ryder Memorial Prize of 1926.[1]
Shaw-Hamilton was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 December, 1925.[2]
Shaw-Hamilton was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 December, 1933.[3]
Shaw-Hamilton was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1940.[4]
Shaw-Hamilton was appointed in command of the battleship Howe in December, 1943. He was superseded in command by Captain Henry William Urquhart McCall on 2 March, 1944.
Shaw-Hamilton was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1946.[5]
He retired from the navy on 7 January, 1956.[6]
