Lieutenant-Commander Arthur Gardiner Muller (3 April, 1879 – 31 August, 1915) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

The son of William Muller, solicitor.

Muller was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 October, 1901.[1]

Muller was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 1 October, 1909.[2]

Muller was appointed Lieutenant & Commander of the destroyer Avon on 3 January, 1905.[3]

Muller was appointed in command of the destroyer Racoon on 25 February, 1911.[4]

On 9 May 1915, Muller was granted the acting rank of Commander and given the additional responsibility of commanding the Second Division of Fifth Destroyer Flotilla, by order of the Commander-in-Chief. Muller would take ill before long, however, and succumb to septic poisoning on 31 August, 1915, being replaced by Lieutenant-Commander Henry Noel Marryat Hardy the following day.[5]
