Commander Eric Ford Schomberg Back, D.S.C., R.N. (29 January, 1912 – 25 April, 2004) served in the Royal Navy.

I have been unable to find a Service Record for him at The National Archives.

Life & Career

The son of Captain Eric Percy Coventry Back.

Back received the Beaufort and Wharton Testimonial.

Back was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 11 December, 1933.[1]

Back was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 1 December, 1941.[2]

In April 1944 he was serving in Indefatigable.[3]

Back was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1948. He retired on 29 January, 1962.[4]
