Vice-Admiral (retired) Richard Strode Hewlett ( – 3 April, 1875) served in the Royal Navy. I am not sure I have found his date of birth.
Life & Career
Hewlett was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 10 January 1837.[1]
Hewlett was promoted to the rank of Commander on 23 September, 1845.[2]
Hewlett was promoted to the rank of Captain on 15 January, 1850.[3]
Hewlett was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 6 April, 1866.[4]
He retired on 1 April, 1970 and was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral, retired, on 30 April, 1873.[5]
