Captain (A) Henry James Johnstone, (26 April, 1895 – 15 July, 1947) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Johnstone served in Princess Royal from November 1912 to 11 May 1915 when he receive an appointment to T.B. 29.[1]
Johnstone was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 December, 1916. This was adjusted to 30 July, 1916. He moved fon from T.B. 29 in January, 1917 and presently found himself in Sybille.[2]
In 1923, Johnsstone received training as an aerial observer.[3]
Johnstone was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 July, 1924.[4]
Johnstone was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1927.[5]
Johnstone was promoted to the rank of Captain (A) on 31 December, 1938. The (A), apparently, denotes "available".[6]
World War II
Reverted to the Retired List as medically unfit on 27 June, 1945.[7]
