Lieutenant (retired) George Griffin, (20 March, 1868 – 11 January, 1939) served in the Royal Navy.

He started out as a Bosun, and we have a (b) in his page title to differentiate him from another man of the same name.

Life & Career

Griffin was promoted to the rank of Boatswain on 1 November, 1898.

Griffin was placed on the Retired List on account of age at the rank of Lieutenant on 12 August, 1922.
