Lieutenant-Commander (retired) William Francis Budgen (5 January, 1881 – 24 February, 1922) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Born in Secunderabad, India.
Budgen joined the Supplementary List at the rank of Lieutenant on 1 September, 1913.[1]
He was placed on the Retired List at his own request on 3 September, 1920.[2]
Budgen was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 1 September, 1921.[3]
Budgen was one of about seven Europeans who died in a cyclone at Chinde, East Africa that nearly destroyed the town.[4]
