H.M.S. Basilisk was one of two Beagle Class screw sloops completed for the Royal Navy.
Service
Basilisk commissioned at Sheerness on 24 June, 1890.[7]
Nymphe's captain was thought to have been at fault after she collided with the Basilisk around early 1901.
