Captain (retired) Oswald Stannus Gray, R.N. (7 August, 1888 – ) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Born in Brunswick, Victoria.

Gray was appointed to the battleship Magnificent from 10 April 1905.

Gray was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 28 February, 1909.

Gray was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 28 February, 1917.

Gray was placed on the Retired List at his own request at the rank of Commander on 25 November, 1930.

World War II

From 1939, Gray worked in the Ordnance Inspection Department.

Gray was granted the confirmed rank of Captain upon his reversion to the Retired List on 8 August, 1948.
