S.M.S. UC 38 was one of 64 submarines of the UC II class.

Service

UC 38 sank the British destroyer Staunch and the monitor M.15 off Gaza on 11 November, 1917. This considerable success was soon followed by her own destruction by French destroyers just one month later in the Ionian Sea, west of Greece.
