Captain (retired) Reginald Francis Parker, C.B., C.M.G., R.N. (10 September, 1871 – 23 February, 1946) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Parker was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 February, 1893.

Parker was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1903.

Parker was appointed in command of the third class protected cruiser Diamond on 26 February, 1908.[1]

Parker commanded the second class protected cruiser Thetis for two and a half months before being placed on the Retired List at his own request at the rank of Captain on 15 January, 1910. He served in the Great War as Principal Naval Transport Officer, Cardiff from 1 April 1915 until being superseded on 10 July, 1916. He continued to serve elsewhere as I.C.M.S. and later as Mobilising Director, Auxiliary Patrol. He reverted to the Retired List on 15 November, 1919.
