John Bowyer (4 February, 1898 – ) served in the Royal Navy and survived the destruction of the battlecruiser H.M.S. Indefatigable at the Battle of Jutland.

Life & Career

Born in Suffolk, Bowyer had fair hair, blue eyes and a "fresh" complexion. He left Ganges as a Signal Boy in March, 1914.

He was appointed to Indefatigable on 27 July, 1915. He survived her destruction at Jutland and was taken prisoner by the Germans, later to be repatriated.

He was finally invalided from Vivid on 14 April, 1920.
