Admiral Hugh Pigot Williams, Royal Navy, Retired (1 September, 1858 – 28 June, 1934) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Early Life & Career
On 5 July, 1884, he was appointed as a Lieutenant (G) on the Senior Staff at Excellent.[1]
Captain
Williams was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1898.[2]
He was appointed in command of Phoebe on 9 October, 1900.[3]
He was appointed to the Tamar as Commodore, Second Class and as Naval Officer in Charge at Hong Kong on 17 July, 1905.[4]
Flag Rank
Williams was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 11 April, 1908, vice Gamble.[5]
Williams was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral on 16 May, 1913, vice Cross.[6]
Williams was placed on the Retired List on 11 April, 1915.[7] He was advanced to the rank of Admiral on the Retired List on 3 April, 1917.[8]
