Commander Henry Hugh Gordon Dacre Stoker, D.S.O., (2 February, 1885 – 2 February, 1966) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Stoker was appointed in command of the submarine B 8 on 14 August, 1911.[1]
Stoker was appointed in command of the submarine H.M.A.S. AE 2 in 1914 and was in command when she was sunk by the Turkish T.B. Sultan Hissar. Luckily all her crew were saved.[2]
He enjoyed a successful acting career after retiring from the Navy in 1921. He again joined the navy in World War II.
