S.M.S. G was a torpedo boat built for the Imperial German Navy in 1884-1885.

Construction

Launched at Germaniawerft, Kiel on 20 December, 1884.[8]

Service

G commissioned on 9 September, 1885 and served as a trials and training boat. She was stricken on 30 January, 1899 and used for subsidiary duties for several more years, including service from 1904 as a tender to the Helga. She was finally used as a target vessel and probably expended in that role.[9]
