Seconds-in-Command

Rear-Admiral John Fellowes commanded the Western Division of the Channel Squadron from 19 May, 1897. He was succeeded by Rear-Admiral John W. Brackenbury on 1 June, 1898.[1] Rear-Admiral Arthur D. Fanshawe succeeded Brackenbury on 1 June, 1899.[2] Fanshawe was succeeded by Rear-Admiral Jenkings at Devonport on 1 June, 1900.[3] Jenkings was superseded by Rear-Admiral Sir William A. D. Acland on 5 June, 1901.[4] Rear-Admiral Assheton G. Curzon-Howe succeeded Rear-Admiral Acland on 5 June, 1902.[5] He was superseded on 5 June, 1903,[6] by Rear-Admiral the Honourable Hedworth Lambton.[7] Lambton was succeeded by Rear-Admiral Francis C. B. Bridgeman on 25 June, 1904.[8]
