Mersey

Mersey, Captain Caldwell, left Spithead for the West Indies under sail on 11 a.m. on 28 November, 1860.[1] She returned to Spithead, defective in machinery, on 22 March, 1861.[2] She left Portsmouth under steam on 12 May for the North American and West Indies Station.[3] She returned to Spithead under sail on 1 August, 1862, from Halifax.[4] She was paid out of commission at Portsmouth on 13 August.[5]
