Japanese ship Satsuma (薩摩) was a pre-dreadnought battleship of the Imperial Japanese Navy. Originally laid down as a ship with an all-big-gun armament of eight 12-inch guns, due to slow production she and her sister Aki were re-designed with an intermediate-armament of four 12-inch and twelve 10-inch guns.

Satsuma's machinery. castings, forgings and boilers were manufactured by the shipyard at Yokosuka.
