Oswald Harcourt Davies

Commander Oswald Harcourt Davies, R.N. (8 July, 1874 – 1 February, 1911) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

The son of W. J. Davies, Esq., possibly of London.[1]

Davies was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in 1895.[2]

Davies was promoted to the rank of Commander in December, 1906.[3]

In 1909, he was cautioned following a collision between Template:UK-Elfin and the ketch Nell Jess in Harwich Harbour. An illness of some type took hold of him that year, but its nature is not stated in his Service Record. It would prove persistent.[4]

Died while on passage home from the Mediterranean in H.M.S. Triumph in 1911.[5]
