Vice-Admiral John Wilson Cuthbert, (9 April, 1902 – ) served in the Royal Navy.
As with many men born c. 1899 or later, his Service Records at The National Archives do not reflect activity between 1931 and 1939 or so.
Life & Career
Cuthbert was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 August, 1923.[1]
Cuthbert was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 August, 1931.[2]
Cuthbert was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1936.[3]
World War II
Cuthbert was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1941.[4]
Cuthbert was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 8 January, 1951.[5]
Cuthbert was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral on 8 September, 1954. He retired on 29 August, 1958.[6]
