Captain (retired) George Hannibal Charles MacArthur, (24 April, 1850 – 3 September, 1900) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

MacArthur's Service Record indicates he entered Britannia in September, 1864, which does not seem to coincide with a regular intake term. Perhaps he is best considered a late joiner to the August intake group.

MacArthur was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 8 August, 1874.

MacArthur was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1888.

MacArthur was placed on the Retired List at his own request with the rank of Captain on 18 January, 1899. He would die a little over one year later.
