SMS Seydlitz, 1913

Model by Manuel Ortega

Seydlitz was German battlecruiser mounting 10 12-inch guns launched in 1912.  She was similar to Moltke and Goeben, but featured an additional forecastle deck offering her greater freeboard and buoyancy.  She had the misfortune of being heavily damaged at the Battle of Dogger Bank and also at Jutland, where her foredeck probably made the difference in keeping her afloat long enough to return to base.
