Modeller Tone Source Shipyard Plans for HMS Acheron (1911) from the National Maritime Museum Grid Size 1 mm Scale 1/48 This fitting could doubtless be improved. It is difficult to tell if all fittings of the same size/function would be of the exact same design. Mounting hardware has been omitted. I omitted them for simplicity and since I did not know a good notion of their design. The one on the port of the ship should have red glass, and green to starboard. I think the lamps would be of brass, and the rest of steel. I am not at all sure of whether there should be a steel plate at the back face (toward the stern), or over the top (to preserve night vision of the bridge crew and allow access to the lamp). I guessed not. Changes Feb 2, 2001 Modified to add a rear plate so it is not visible from astern. Thanks to John Kohnen for pointing this defect out.
