British BVIII Twin Turret

This turret was used on HMS Dreadnought. It is modelled here as it appears on that ship -- the 12pdr guns on the roof, the platforms, and perhaps the ladder up the face are probably not considered intrinsic to the gun mount.

It is possible that this model could be used on Bellerophon dreadnoughts and possibly Invincible and Indefatigable class battlecruisers (I have no source on their turrets yet).

This model is generally well-formed, but is not utterly complete, and is known to be inaccurate.

The sighting hoods are not complete in that there is no hole under them in the turret roof, and they lack glass and telescopes (2 in center hood).

The front armor face should be peaked at the same angle as the turret roof, allowing the roof to arrive in a flush manner. I have the front armor plate flat across the top, requiring the subtly-curved section of roof forward of the sighting hoods that it currently in place.

There should be metal (earlier) or canvas (later) sealing boots fitted to where the guns pierce the turret.

There should be clips which help stiffen the armor facings (or hold in place a leather sealing ring where the turret revolves).

This model is incomplete and is not yet available for download.
