This is a small handbook seemingly for compact, on-board reference by torpedomen.  It seems an earlier version of the Torpedo Drill Book 1914, though it has a more compact form factor.

NOTES

In keeping with the Torpedo Section's focus on providing electrical services and repair for all fittings on the ship, the portions of this manual which touch on telephones and fire control devices are not very good sources for modeling them or grasping entirely their functionality.  Rather, the focus is on wiring and electrical components.

p. 433 offers a list of "three groups of Whitehead torpedoes in the Service..." "...the torpedoes in each particular group being similar to others in the same group."

I.
R.L. type 14-inch, Mark VIII.
II.
R.G.F. type

14-inch, Marks IX., X., X*., and XI.

18-inch, Marks I*, II*., III,., IV., V., V*., VI., and VI*.

III.
Fiume type

14-inch, Wey. Mark I.

18-inch Fiume, Mark II.

18-inch Fiume, Mark III., III*., III**.

Following sections outline practice collision head parameters for each, buoyancy, air charges, firing pistols, etc.

Tables offer specifics about the various types of torpedoes.

This volume lacks the discussion of directors and aiming principles found in the 1914 edition.
