This manual has been invaluable to my research.  I am lucky to have color copies of its colorful plates, obtained from a friend who owns an original copy (#856). It would be difficult to imagine a line of technical research that would not benefit from reading this.

The inside cover has a note dated October 1917 alluding to a previous edition of 1914 which this obsoletes.
